29 March 2018

IASB has issued a revised version of its Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting.

The revised Conceptual Framework includes:
– a new chapter on measurement; guidance on reporting financial performance;
– improved definitions and guidance—in particular the definition of a liability;
– and clarifications in important areas, such as the roles of stewardship, prudence and measurement uncertainty in financial reporting.

The IASB has also issued Amendments to References to the Conceptual Framework in IFRS Standards to update references in IFRS Standards to previous versions of the Conceptual Framework.

In addition to the Conceptual Framework itself, there is a range of supporting materials available, including:
– Project Summary;
– Feedback Statement;
– fact sheet; and
– video.

All these materials and further information are available on IASB website.
