IASB published several documents for public comment

In August the IASB published for public comment the following exposure drafts:
• Leases. The proposals of ED are one of the main projects included in the boards’ Memorandum of Understanding. The exposure draft is open for comment until 15 December 2010;
• Removal of Fixed Dates for First-time Adopters. It proposes amendments to IFRS 1 First-time Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards. The exposure draft is open for comment until 27 October 2010.

The IFRS Foundation, the oversight body of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), published for public comment proposed enhancements to the criteria for the IASB’s annual improvements process. The consultation document The annual improvements process: Proposals to amend the Due Process Handbook for the IASB is open for comment until 30 November 2010

The IFRS Interpretations Committee, the interpretative body of the IASB, published for public comment proposed guidance on the accounting for stripping costs in the production phase of a surface mine. DI/2010/1 Stripping Costs in the Production Phase of a Surface Mine is open for comment until 30 November 2010
